“ALPS AT THEIR VERY BEST“

Connections to endless experiences between glacier, mountain and lake in Zell am See-Kaprun

Guests of the holiday region can expect a big winter experience area – with 408 pre-mium kilometres of ski slopes, 100% snow-reliability thanks to the glacier and a ticket alliance, the Ski ALPIN CARD.

Included, of course: endless skiing pleasure. From winter 19/20, the region will be-come an alpine pioneer yet again thanks to two new cable car connections.

The “3K K-onnection“ brings together that belongs together and, creating a fascinat-ing entity, connects Kaprun, the Maiskogel Family Mountain and the Kitzsteinhorn from December onward. With that, Kaprun offers for the first time a comfortable ski in-ski-out directly from the town centre to the snow-reliable glacier ski resort as well as a panoramic ride from 768 to 3,029 metres, which is unique in the Eastern Alps.

But that’s not all. True to the motto “New valley – New luck“ enables the lower Section I of the zellamseeXpress the access from the Glemmtal Valley to the Schmittenhöhe panorama and family ski resort for the first time, thus creating a connection to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn and setting the course for a new dimension of skiing.

Unique cable car connections offer
”ALPS AT THEIR VERY BEST“

Zell am See-Kaprun is one of the most famous and most legendary winter sports regions in the Alps: Anyone who appreciates fantastic downhill runs and absolute snow-reliability comes to Zell am See-Kaprun. With the spectacular K-ONNECTION glacier connection from Kaprun directly uphill to the Kitzsteinhorn and the new connection from the Glemmtal Valley into the Schmittenhöhe family and panorama ski resort, the region presents itself more diverse than ever from winter 2019/20. Thanks to the new “Ski ALPIN CARD“ ticket alliance, there are 408 kilometres of ski slopes, including glacier, waiting to be discovered. And all that in one of Austria’s most beautiful landscapes. Simply Alps at their very best.

Schmittenhöhe – finally united with the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn

With its fantastic views to Lake Zell as well as over 30 three thousand metres high mountains of the Hohe Tauern, the Schmittenhöhe is one of the region’s top highlights. The world’s longest fun slope, the black “Trass“ with over 1,000 altitude metres and a gradient of up to 70%, the night skiing programme and the many winter hiking trails complement the range of Zell’s local mountain. Apart from three access points in Zell am See, this panorama and family ski resort also offers a new lower terminus in the Glemmtal Valley this winter. The completion of the lower section of the zellamseeXpress sets the course of new dimensions in skiing. From winter 2019/2020, the Schmittenhöhe ski resort can be accessed for the first time from the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn directly via the natural snow piste 168 and then by using the top-modern 10-person gondola lift zellamseeXpress. Using a ski bus service, the return journey only takes a few minutes.

From Kaprun directly uphill to the Kitzsteinhorn

Winter in the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier ski resort starts already in October, and the extralong winter season delights skiers until early summer. The new Kaprun-Maiskogel-Kitzsteinhorn cable car connection is a dream of generations finally coming true this winter. Two new cable cars lead directly from the town centre of Kaprun via the Maiskogel to the 100% snow-reliable Kitzsteinhorn Glacier ski resort. This means ski in–ski out for all guests of Kaprun accessing the lower terminus of the MK Maiskogel lift and the modern Kaprun Center, with 2,000 ski depots, in comfort on foot or by ski bus. The new 3K K-onnection, connecting a total of 12 kilometres, is now the longest cable car axis in the Eastern Alps and manages 2,261 altitude metres. Skiers, snowboarders, freeriders, ski tourers and winter lovers feel over the moon at the Kitzsteinhorn. Three snow parks, Austria’s most attractive superpipe, two marked ski touring uphill routes, glacier cross-country ski track, but also Gipfelwelt 3000 with the “Top of Salzburg“ viewing platform, the National Park Gallery, the Cinema 3000 experience and Salzburg’s highest-situated restaurant offer unforgettable holiday moments in over 3,000 metres above sea level.

1 ticket, 3 premium regions, endless skiing fun – the new SKI ALPIN CARD
